Welcome to DocsLine. By using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the application.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DocsLine, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this service.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the application.

2. Service Description

DocsLine provides automated invoice processing with OCR and financial management platform. Our services include:

  • Invoice upload and automatic data extraction
  • Financial analytics and reporting
  • Invoice creation and management
  • Expense tracking and categorization
3. User Responsibilities

As a user of DocsLine, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Use the service only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to access other users accounts or data
  • Not use the service to process fraudulent or illegal documents
  • Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws
4. Data Ownership & Intellectual Property

Your Data: You retain all ownership rights to the invoices and financial data you upload to DocsLine. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Our Service: DocsLine, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by DocsLine and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

License: You grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.

5. Payment Terms

Some features of DocsLine may require a paid subscription. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:

  • Pay all fees associated with your chosen plan
  • Provide accurate billing information
  • Authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring fees

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for refund requests.

6. Privacy & Data Protection

All data processing complies with GDPR. Your data is stored exclusively on EU servers (Germany & France) using:

  • Supabase (West EU - Paris) for database and file storage
  • Hetzner Cloud (Nuremberg, Germany) for backend services and OCR processing
  • Clerk (EU servers) for authentication

Privacy-First Processing: We use a private OCR engine for invoice processing. Your invoice data is never sent to third-party providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, etc.). All OCR processing happens on our Hetzner Cloud infrastructure in Nuremberg, Germany.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the service for:

  • Scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
  • Emergency security updates
  • Infrastructure upgrades
8. Limitation of Liability

DocsLine is provided as is without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Accuracy of OCR-extracted data (always verify important information)
  • Business decisions made based on our analytics
  • Data loss due to user error or third-party actions
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings page or by contacting support. Upon termination:

  • You can export all your data before deletion
  • We will delete your data within 30 days (unless legally required to retain)
  • Any unused subscription time will not be refunded (except as required by law)

We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Frankfurt, Germany.
